Sales Account Executive Job Description

TermScout is looking for an experienced, motivated and ambitious Sales Account Executive to join our growing team. If you love finding new business opportunities and the idea of working in a Techstars-backed legal tech startup, this job is for you! You’ll be directly responsible for the expansion of our customer base, which is currently primarily focused on software companies. We expect you to have skills and experience in sales, self-driven, and results oriented.

  • We have recently closed $1.6MM in total financing, bringing our total raised to ~$2.0 million. 
  • We are a Techstars Boulder 2020 alumni company (and Techstars is an investor)
  • We need someone who can build and lead a sales team, but that starts at the AE level for now until we really start ramping up sales in 2021
  • We will have product to sell by mid-September

Sales Account Executive Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Finding and closing business opportunities in the target market
  • Collaborate with our demand gen contractor to create a detailed sales plan
  • Set and manage sales goals and quotas
  • Manage the entire sales cycle
  • Assist in finding prospects and leads
  • Identify new sales opportunities 
  • Build strong client relationships
  • Identify opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell
  • Provide customer support when needed
  • Learn new product and services features and benefits
  • Provide professional after-sales support 
  • Respond to complaints and resolve issues to ensure customer success and satisfaction
  • Prepare and present reports on KPIs

Sales Account Executive Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of experience as a Sales Account Executive or similar role, preferably in legal services and/or legal tech
  • Commercial contracting experience
  • Good listening skills
  • Proficient with G-Suite and MS Office applications
  • Proficient with Hubspot CRM software
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • Good time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Enthusiastic and passionate 
  • JD preferred, minimum requirement of BSc or BA in business administration, sales or marketing
  • Must have strong network of in house counsel at enterprise level companies, strong network of contract managers and sales leaders also preferred

 

Compensation

  • Negotiable based on experience
  • Likely to be a combination of reasonable base salary with generous commission structure
